Peggy Abbaspour

Peggy has studied architecture at Tehran West Azad University. For nearly three years, she worked as an operation manager at "Howz-e Naghreh" Publications, but she could never separate herself from her childhood passions for color, painting, and drawing. She spent many years studying arts in Isfahan and Tehran and always considers herself indebted to her mentors. Notable artists who have greatly influenced her artistic technique and perception include Noushin Nafisi, Taraneh Sadeghian, Sara Jafari, and Pouya Arianpour.

Since 2011, she has delved more seriously into various artistic fields of painting, photography, video, and installation art. Peggy has participated in various group exhibitions to showcase her own artwork and get acquainted with the works of other artists.

Peggy is an interdisciplinary artist who strives to incorporate the potentials of related or neighboring fields into her works. In many of her pieces, she endeavors to present a different interpretation of viewing to the audience, sometimes by using elimination, and at times by emphasizing certain aspects, or playing with light and time. Her artworks reflect the impact of social and political events on human memory and recollection. Playfulness in the sea of art and a fearless immersion in the new experiences of perpetual exploration has always been a dream for the artist.
